Warth & Klein Grant Thornton becomes sole Grant Thornton member firm in Germany

1 July 2011
Grant Thornton International is pleased to announce that Warth & Klein Grant Thornton is now the sole Grant Thornton member firm in Germany with effect from 1 July.
This is the first time Grant Thornton has had a single platform in the country and a major step forward in the global strategy.

The firm, which has been part of Grant Thornton for 10 years, has 88 partners and 693 staff with offices in Düsseldorf (national headquarters), Aix-La-Chapelle, Dresden, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Oldenburg, Stuttgart, Viersen and Wiesbaden. The firm's expanded presence in Munich follows a merger on 1 July 2011 with the Munich office of Susat & Partners which has added six partners and 60 staff. Warth & Klein Grant Thornton offers the full range of audit, tax and advisory services.

Klaus-Günter Klein, chairman of the board of Warth & Klein Grant Thornton explains, "We celebrated the sole membership of Warth & Klein Grant Thornton on 30 June. It was a very exciting and memorable event. Many new people have joined our business recently, making our growth visible in the marketplace. We have received lots of positive feedback from our newcomers."

Ed Nusbaum, CEO, Grant Thornton International, added, "Germany is a key market in the global economy and immensely important to us. Together with the excellent Warth & Klein Grant Thornton team we will continue to strengthen our market presence in Germany."
