Grant Thornton announces new member firm in Ecuador

Grant Thornton International, the global accounting organisation, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member firm in Ecuador with effect from 1 May 2011, an important addition to our presence in the Latin American region. Founded in 1996, Grant Thornton Ecuador (formerly Corporacion Dbrag) will provide assurance, tax and advisory services to domestic and international clients.

Led by Maria de los Angeles Guijarro, the firm has 130 staff, including seven partners, operating from four offices in Quito, Guayaquil and Manta.

Managing partner, Maria de los Angeles Guijarro explains, "As a firm we have a strong focus on maintaining our ethics and honesty, experience, personalised services and techniques. Our main objective is to continually increase the technical skills of our professionals to increase profitability - with the ultimate aim of offering added value to clients.
