Grant Thornton International announces new member firm in Indonesia

27 May 2011
Grant Thornton International has announced its intention to appoint a new member firm in Indonesia.

Grant Thornton Hendrawinata, a long-standing member firm, has recently tendered its resignation as a result of a split in the firm. KAP Handyaani & Sigiro, led by Johanna Gani, a former partner, has been appointed as the new Grant Thornton member firm in Indonesia with effect from 6 June 2011. Subject to local regulatory approval the firm will go to market as Grant Thornton.

Ed Nusbaum, CEO of Grant Thornton International explains, "The global leadership board has identified Indonesia as a key strategic market and it is critical that our member firm there is as visionary about its future as we are. I am confident that the dynamism and energy of the new team will bring enormous rewards to both Grant Thornton in Indonesia and to other member firms in the region."
